Who is Deacon Jones Auto Group?

Get to know our history

Though Deacon passed in 2010, Deacon Jones' commitment to customer service remains intact as family members (Ken, Dale, and Tina) have continued the tradition of providing an exemplary sales experience. While top-notch service is crucial to success, an organization is only as good as its leadership - and Deacon Jones Auto Group is led by some of the industry's best. Ken is responsible for day-to-day operational management with his executive team, along with his brother, Dale Jones, and sister, Tina Jones Winborne. Their responsibilities encompass more than $2 billion per year in sales and nearly 500 employees. Ken has been in this position for 25+ years, and he shares equal ownership of the businesses with Dale and Tina.

Bobby Kenneth Jones, II, Owner/President/CEO

"Ken" Jones is currently Dealer/General Manager and Executive Manager of Deacon Jones Auto Group. While he leads in the day-to-day operations of the business, he is also a leader in his community. Ken is on the board of directors at:

  • KS Bank in Kenly, NC
  • The University of Mount Olive (2003 - present)
  • Lee University in Cleveland, TN (2013 - present)

Ken serves in his home church on the Board of Deacons, the Finance Committee, and the National Prison Ministries Board. Ken and his family are extensive participants in civic activities, fundraising events, and financial support to many charitable, religious, and non-profit groups.

Anthony "Dale" Jones, VP/Owner

Dale Jones is currently Vice President and General Sales Manager, as well as a member of the Executive Management Team. In addition to his responsibilities in the family businesses, Dale is actively involved in the community, particularly in his home church Princeton Church of God, and has served in various capacities including:

  • Pastoral Council
  • Church Music Ministry
  • World Mission Board

Tina Jones Winborne, Corporate Secretary/Owner

Tina Jones Winborne is currently the Corporate Secretary and a General Sales Manager. In addition to her responsibilities as a member of the executive management team of the family businesses, Tina is actively involved in:

  • Advisory Council (Four Oaks Elementary)
  • Booster Club Officer (South Johnston High School)
  • Chamber of Commerce (Smithfield, NC)
  • Princeton Church of God
  • Children's Ministry
  • Girl's Club Ministry Leader
  • Music Ministry

Richie Brady, Chief Strategy Officer

My career with Deacon Jones began late 1999. I started selling vehicles In Smithfield with the GM franchise. My journey has carried me thru many positions and locations to get me where I am today. I have a beautiful wife and two growing boys. “Speakin Deacon,” is my life.

Gary Rhodes, Senior Vice President

I have been with Deacon Jones since 2003. I have extensive experience as a CPA in public accounting, including one of the largest firms in the U.S. I have also served as CFO for a private cable operating company in Atlanta, GA and a large publicly traded training company in Harrisburg, PA. my family and I are actively involved in local religious groups, charities and civic activities in the surrounding communities.

Kimberly Bogue, CFO

I began “Speakin Deacon” when Mr. Jones purchased the Ford Franchise in 2003.  As a CPA, I enjoy the excitement and variety that the automotive dealership industry brings each day.  Personally, I have been married forever, and have an “almost” grown daughter.  I love the beach and reading, and together it makes for a fabulous fun day!

Jeremy Ferraez, Director of Variable Operations

I began in the automotive business in 1996 in the detail department while in college. I began selling vehicles in my father’s dealership a few years later. I have held various positions in the auto dealership environment in my growth to get to this point. I have an awesome wife, Cody and 3 beautiful daughters. I love to come to work every day knowing what a wonderful opportunity we have to serve our community.

Paul Newton, Director of Fixed Operations/ Safety Director

I am the son of a retired New Car Dealer so I have been around the car business my entire life. I started working at my dad’s Dealership in 1981 and learned every position within the Dealership environment. I have been in Fixed Operations Management for 35 years. Although I have only been “Speakin Deacon’’ since 2018, I feel like I have been part of the Deacon Jones Family forever. I am married to my beautiful wife Erica and I have two grown sons.

Brenna Jones, Director of Marketing & Advertising

I have been an employee of Deacon Jones Auto Group since 2021. I acquired a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Campbell University in 2017. I have five years of experience as a former Marketing Director and almost ten years total in various advertising/marketing positions. I strive to live out the motto of Deacon Jones, "We treat you how we would like to be treated."

Trey Jones, Director of Human Resources

I've been full time in the automotive industry for the past 8 years. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in economics and religion. I've worked in the past as a detailer, parts employee, service writer, sales person, F&I, and service director. I want to exemplify my grandfather’s motto “We treat people the way we want to be treated by helping employees grow and succeed here at Deacon Jones Auto Group because .. That's ‘Speakin Deacon!
